Moravia Hardwoods was founded in 1968 by Terry Spurgin. What started out as a very simple sawmill has transformed and grown over time into a state of the art sawmill, stave mill, dry kiln and grading line that continues to be a family business to this day with three generations of the Spurgin family all working together.
At Moravia Hardwoods we know that the future is built by what we do today. We believe in a sawmill that favors sustainable forest practices to insure the fourth generation will be able to continue the family tradition.
We know that quality begins in the forest by selecting the best trees, which is why we work very closely with local forest owners and loggers.
Innovation is just as important as tradition, which is precisely why we have the most modern sawmill equipment on the market. We installed a complete new line in 2023 utilizing the latest equipment and technology available to our industry.

We manufacture walnut, white oak, maple and other hardwood lumber species and American oak staves ensuring a high quality product that is above and beyond industry standards.
